Contingency Plans…
… are always wise to have. I don’t mean plans A –> H as I joke I had when I was finishing grad school, but today proved to me, yet again, that having contingency plans in place aren’t bad. Today we received news that 4 people were laid off, without warning to them or any of us — blaming the economy. Can we talk STRESS? Apparently there is more to the story than the economy — particularly as we did okay this quarter in terms of targets.
So with my personal life headspace causing me to be certain not to close any doors, this adds to that plan. While poor headspace and difficut situations makes the decision easy on a personal level, perhaps professionally things need to be considered too. Contingency plans are good things, otherwise if things keep going pear-shaped, I’d be in trouble… Now to look at contingency plans and decide what to do…
