Realizing the intensity of last week, it was nice to have a comfortable safe and relaxed day. I slept in again, which was nice. I still haven’t been ready to go back to my church, but I have been thinking about it. One day. But I did go for breakfast with my friends as I do every week, and a dance friend from Seattle came and joined us. I rushed from breakfast to A’s wedding shower.
During the rush I had a few phone calls relating to dance scene drama and it makes me realize just how lucky I’ve been to be in my own life bubble. It also makes me realize that some of the drama of this past week could be challenges to good things that may be coming down the path. So I leave the drama of last week as much behind me as I can. I may or may not decide to keep dancing, but I will continue doing what I’ve been doing: what I can to enjoy myself.
But back to today. The theme was Hawaii, and everyone had a great time. It was nice to get to know more extended members of both families. Afterwards I rushed off to meet up with my family. It was nice to visit with them, and they didn’t stress too much when I made other plans for dinner.  Dinner was at Memphis Blues — a great BBQ restaurant near my place. We had a tonne of food, the atmosphere is great and everyone had a great time.  There was so much food left over I think I’ll be making some sort of soup this week. Yowza.
