I can’t think of a better way to describe my evening than wow… make that WOW. I guess sometimes it is about being in that place of being able to make the choice to have a good evening. And I most definitely did.
I had fantastic dances with friends. Several close cuddly dances with a close friend. Fun dances with other favourite leads here in town, and dances that made me go ‘Wow’.
A lead is in town visiting friends and family who don’t dance and came out tonight. We’ll call this lead NMDF. NMDF and I had great dances from the first moment we walked onto the dance floor. I think I grabbed him (and vice versa) probably 4 or more times. I felt like I was hogging him but you know what? We had great connection. We danced the last song + 1 and it was definitely very yummy. Hot. That’s the best way to describe it. At one point I was curled up with a close friend and watching NMDF dance and he’s a fantastic dancer. And you know what was sad? Several follows realized it, but so many more didn’t have a clue how amazing and yummy his dancing really is. I hope that the scene grows so that there are more dancers in town who can make me melt like that.
While I didn’t dance with anywhere near every lead there, I did get good dances with everyone I wanted to. And good dances tonight make me want to go out tomorrow night all the more.
I needed tonight in a big way.

He he he… Perhaps. But I was, sincerely, going for New Male Dance Friend. But I must say. If more local dancers learned how to be as ‘yummy’ as he was (there are some, of course), I wouldn’t pine for Seattle so much. 😛 In fact, people from other dance scenes would come here more if there were more…
