The last Belly Dance Class of the Summer
I had a decent day at work but realize that I need to be better at getting to bed on time on the days I don’t dance late. I’m feeling slightly worn down. And achy. But that’s okay. I walked home and stopped by the store where I bought my new camera.
I tried the camera under water, and when I took it out, I’d noticed some droplets had gotten into the areas where there are the gaskets so I wanted to exchange it for another one. Fortunately they still had a fuschia one in stock.
After that I relaxed and then went to belly dance class. It was a lot of fun, I’ve enjoyed this class and exploring new ways of moving my body. I appreciate that it is women only — in some ways it feels like a time when I can be free to be myself and explore how my body can move, my beauty and a number of other things without social ‘dynamics’ getting in the way.
The instructor I’ve had for the last two weeks has been fantastic. Unfortunately she wont be teaching the class I’ll be doing in the fall — unless I switch to another centre. I need to sit down and plan my fall schedule so that I can sort out what I’m doing with myself in terms of running, dancing, perhaps ice skating if I can fit it in again — I missed taking classes last year. Something’s got to give, I can’t do it all. Unfortunately.
Anyhow, this 6 week series is over, and I’m sad. I didn’t know what I’d think, but I’m glad I did it, and am looking forward to more classes.
And now it’s time to rescue my exchanged camera from my sink of water and see if it’s leaked into the gasketed areas.
